Toronto Life hosted a red carpet event at the Trump Hotel in Toronto to celebrate the fifth fall edition of Toronto Life Stylebook on September 10, 2015. The hotly anticipated and exclusive soiree brought out an impressive crowd of the city’s most stylish people. Hosted at Trump’s two-floor ballroom, the event officially kicked off the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) season.
“We’re thrilled to once again celebrate Toronto’s Best Dressed with our fifth Stylebook,” said Sarah Fulford, Editor. “The annual issue celebrates the city’s style, paying tribute to the Torontonians who make the city so interesting and exciting.”
The celebration of Toronto Life’s 2015 Stylebook brought out actors Jennifer Podemski (Blackstone), Mélanie St-Pierre (Heroes Reborn), Aislinn Paul (Degrassi), and Sophie Tweed-Simmons (Gene Simmons: Family Jewels); designers John Muscat (Line Knitwear), and Dean and Dan Caten (DSquared), TV personalities Tracy Moore (Cityline), Liza Fromer (Global News), Tyrone Edwards (E!), and Nil Koksal (CBC); singers Kardinal Offishall, Keshia Chanté, Calvin Love, and Mia Martina; and Toronto influencers Kim Tanenbaum, Jay Strut, Kirk Pickersgill, and Tony and Lina Gagliano.

The impressive crowd indulged in decadent appetizers and desserts by Oliver & Bonacini while sipping bespoke cocktails from Stoli Elit, and enjoying Stella Artois. Highlights of the evening included Aveda’s exquisite primp station which featured hair and makeup touch-ups; Infiniti’s Q50 model stretched across the red carpet and allowed guests a chance to win one of five Holt Renfrew cards; Swarovski’s breathtaking display of statement jewelry sparkled; Loding’s shoe shine activation that allowed guests to have their shoes professionally shined while sipping whiskey, and John Varvatos’ backstage lounge which featured a fragrance sampling bar and a signature cocktail – the Dark Rebel by Elit. Lumas developed a beautiful gallery wall and lounge on the 9th floor, while the 10th revealed Matthew Cusick’s “Genevieve’s Wave” cutwork art installation where guests were invited to take home a piece of art that has been cut into puzzle pieces, as well Damien Hirst’s “For the Love of God” installation. The Trump Ballroom was decked out with Best Dressed decals, and featured a Toronto Life doughnut wall, as well as a Toronto Life balloon wall adorned with the Best Dressed honourees’ names.
