Aveda introduces new Full Spectrum Deep™ Hair Colour collection

TORONTOAveda introduces Full Spectrum Deep™, designed and formulated for clients with naturally dark hair. The collection includes three new colours and two improved shades available for in-salon experiences. The new additions to Aveda’s Full Spectrum™ hair colour collection gives Aveda artists access to more customizable tones, pigments, bases and an extra lifting creme.

Developed using Aveda’s signature blend of botanical oils and 93% plant derived formulas, Full Spectrum Deep™ results in fortified hair colour transformations on dark-hair while maintaining natural beauty and shine. The certified organic lavender aroma offers the most pleasant in-salon experience.

“Full Spectrum Deep™ Hair Color stretches the limits of customization and expands the colorist’s artistic palette,” says Ian Michael Black, Aveda Global Artistic Director, Hair Colour. “Formulated to achieve our highest lift for our truest, most vibrant reds, our coolest blues, and golden tones that result in stunning Aveda color.”

New Aveda Full Spectrum™ shades and extensions:

  • Umber Sun: a new golden hue designed to give the highest lift to dark hair colours looking to go light
  • Blue Carbon: a new light to true blue tone that achieves the ultimate look in blue hair colour
  • Rasberry Jasper: a new red base that delivers the most intense, vibrant and fade-resistant shade of red (within Full Spectrum Deep™)
  • Improved Light Red/Red: delivers a true, vibrant shade of red that resists fading
  • Improved Dark Red/Red: delivers a true, vibrant shade of red that resists fading

Aveda clients are invited to visit an Aveda Experience Centre for a one-of-a-kind color harmony consultation that synchronizes their hair colour with their skin, eyes and makeup, and to share their experience on social media by tagging #LoveYourColour, celebrating the science and art of colour. Founded in 1978 in Minneapolis, MN, Aveda creates high performance, plant-based products for beauty professionals and consumers.  Aveda innovates in botanical technologies, combining the principles of modern science and Ayurveda, the ancient healing art of India, to develop performance-driven hair, skin and body products—made with pure flower and plant essences—that are created with respect for the Earth, and a comprehensive menu of ritual-based treatments for holistic beauty.

Throughout the years, Aveda has pioneered new benchmarks of environmental responsibility in beauty. It was the first company to sign the Ceres Principles in 1989 – a nonprofit organization mobilizing business leadership on climate change, water scarcity and other sustainability challenges – and the first beauty company to manufacture with 100 percent wind power in its primary facility. Aveda was also the first beauty company to receive a Cradle To Cradle charter for its commitment to sustainable products, packaging and production. In 2013, Aveda was honoured with the first Legacy Leaders Award from Cradle to Cradle for its pioneering role in environmental leadership. Currently 11 products are Cradle To Cradle Certified. Since 1999, Aveda's annual Earth Month campaign, held each April, has raised more than $38 million to support environmental projects around the world.

Aveda is trusted by salon and spa professionals worldwide. Since 2007, more than half of the fastest growing salons in the U.S. have been part of the Aveda network. Aveda products are available in Aveda Experience Centers and more than 8,000 professional hair salons and spas in more than 30 countries.
